Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has broken his silence on the firing incident outside his Mumbai home, speaking about the security threat publicly for the first time during his appearance on Bigg Boss 20.

Shetty filled in for host Salman Khan on Saturday's Weekend Ka Vaar. During the episode, he also referred to the recent firing incident involving Tiger Shroff.

Contestants pulled up for acting like gangsters

On the show, Shetty pulled up contestants Scout OP, Aasif Khan and Yung DSA for repeatedly ganging up on Qazi Touqeer.

Drawing a parallel with the real-life security threats and firing incidents targeting Bollywood personalities, he called out the contestants for trying to act like gangsters inside the house.

"Yahan humare ghar par goliyan chal rahi hain, tum kya gangster banke ghoom rahe ho?" he told them, pointing to the bullets being fired at their own homes while the contestants roamed around acting like gangsters.

Five rounds fired at Rohit's home in February

In the early hours of February 1, at least five rounds were fired at the first floor of Rohit Shetty's Mumbai residence. No injuries were reported, and Mumbai Police subsequently arrested multiple suspects.

The breach mirrors a similar high-profile attack last year, when assailants opened fire at Salman Khan's Bandra apartment.

Tiger Shroff targeted in Juhu on October 18

Adding to the string of attacks on Bollywood stars, Tiger Shroff was targeted in a Juhu firing incident on October 18. According to Mumbai Police, assailants opened fire at the actor's car around 7 pm as he was leaving a football club.

Tiger escaped unhurt, while two people, including his driver, sustained injuries.

A string of attacks on Bollywood stars

Shetty's remarks link three incidents: the firing at his own home, the attack on Salman Khan's apartment last year, and the October 18 attack on Tiger Shroff, underlining the security threat facing Bollywood personalities.
