A private dispute inside the Bigg Boss 20 house has spilled outside it, after ScoutOP's girlfriend Kashvi Hiranandani entered the show during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Sunday, 25 October, and confronted both Scout and Love.
What happened on Weekend Ka Vaar
Gaming creator Tanmay, known as ScoutOP, and Love Gill have grown close inside the house, raising questions about the boundaries of their relationship. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Sunday, ScoutOP's girlfriend Kashvi Hiranandani came on the show to question him, and spoke at length about Love and Scout. After the episode, Love Gill's team reacted through Instagram stories.
Love Gill's team says family watched helplessly
In its statement, Love's team condemned Love being publicly judged, saying her character was unfairly assessed on national television, and expressed concern about the impact on her family. The statement said: "A human heart can tolerate only up to a limit, after which silence turns into a scream. Watching Love Gill stand completely alone and helpless tonight, while her character was brutally torn apart on national television, was extremely painful." It asked readers to imagine a mother sitting at home, helplessly watching the world malign her raised daughter, and said Love was being blamed for an adult man's uncontrolled emotions while influencers and fame-hungry people turned her pain into content for likes, views and headlines.
The double standard charge
The statement said that from day one, Love's boundaries were clear: Scout was a brother to her, full stop. Yet as soon as an adult man crossed those boundaries and expressed his feelings, society applied its oldest and most toxic double standard, putting all the blame on the woman. It asked why an adult man is treated as if he were a victim of hypnosis, while a girl is presented as a deliberate temptress, and why she is expected to carry the burden, shame and insult of feelings she never asked for and never responded to. Love deserved to be heard, respected and protected, the statement said, but instead she was humiliated and sacrificed to people's judgement. It added that no woman should ever have to pay the price for a man's decisions, and Love deserved empathy, not cruelty, and justice, not character assassination.
Scout's team responds, intent was never wrong
Scout's team then issued its own statement, saying it felt necessary to speak about the matter with clarity, understanding and the right perspective after the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. It said those who have known and followed Scout for a long time know well that he is a kind, honest and clean-hearted person. His intent was never wrong, the statement said, and he always saw his relationship with the other person as a brother-sister relationship.
Why Kashvi entered the house
Scout's team said that inside the Bigg Boss house, cut off completely from the outside world, Scout had no idea how people outside were viewing his behaviour. That is why Kashvi decided to meet him, the statement said. She knows Scout's heart better than anyone else, it said, and her aim was not to question his character but to explain to him how seriously the situation was being taken in the outside world. She wanted Scout to regain the right perspective and to remind him of what matters most to him: his own journey and the trophy.
